Day Six
Nothing much to report today. Dad's fine, considering the circumstances. He's off the IV drip and is allowed soft foods but he hasn't been eating or drinking much. He's still feeling a lot of 'wind' in the tummy and burps when he sits up. He could walk about and finally got his first look out the window of his room, overlooking Jalan Ampang and the KL city skyline. If everything had gone according to plan I would be on my flight to Melbourne at this very moment. Of course I'm a bit disappointed that I couldn't go now but my family needs me here now. The surgeon indicated that dad would need about a week of post-operative care in the hospital, but up to 6 months for him to fully recover.

Jon,
Wishing your Dad all the best as the whole digiscoping community is. He is our guru, always has been, always will be. Thanks for the updates on his condition.

Dear uncle,
I hope this poem put a smile on your face,
A little fun in a boring place.
A ray of sunshine in your day of gloom.
I hope you get well real soon.
You always have fun when you’re with family,
So you can still go and chilled with them.
But wait... you still have two months to go,
Before the rain turns to snow.
So get well and give me a call,
Before summer turns into fall.
For then the gym is said and done,
And our workout days will be none.
So I hope this little poem gave you a smile,
One that stretches for a whole mile.
If not… at least I tried,
But I must stop since my brain is fried.
Get well soon my lovely uncle ;)
For ur family....be patient ah!!
