Guess what? I'm posting this from my PowerBook again. This morning 9:15am I called up AppleCare and spent about 45 mins on the phone with a tech in Australia before determining it was not a software issue and I had to send it in to an Apple Service Provider, which conveniently enough, there was one in Ipoh. So I did.
Fast forward to 5:30pm I got a call from Future Express (the Apple service center here) told me I could pick up my computer. That was pretty fast, I thought. So I went over to pick it up. According the the technician there all he did was remove the ram from the slot, and put it back in, and everything was fine after that. Odd, I thought, cos that was what I tried doing too, without any luck. I did a few tests in the shop including rebooting and shutting down a few times and everything fine so that was that.
