Kite Hill
I've been taking walks around the neighbourhood since the lockdown began, to get some sun, fresh air and exercise to help alleviate my anxiety and cabin fever. Not having a car kinda limits where I can go, and so far it's mostly been around the residential neighbourhood I'm in. Being San Francisco, there are some hills that get the heart pumping, with glimpses of views at the top, between the houses or ends of dead-end streets, but ultimately still a bit boring.
Last week I went on my longest walk thus far, to a spot I found called Kite Hill Park, 1.6 km from home, which I've never been before in the 4.5 years I've lived in this city (and over 1 year in this part of town). While not as impressive as Twin Peaks, this tiny bald hill does provide for some views of the city and surrounding areas. It was pretty windy and with the fog rolling in, a little chilly too. Glad I brought a windbreaker with me.
