I'm sure everybody has received spam offering university degrees of questionable validity by mail order at some point or other, but imagine my astonishment today when I got unsolicited mail from a real, accredited university - the National University of Singapore (better known as NUS). They were offering me Intensive Mandarin Language courses, and there was even a HTML form embedded in the email itself which was a bit suspect... Just wondering if it was really legit (but would disgust me that a uni would stoop this low to get students), or it's spoofed by companies running those spam databases with the intention of harvesting email (and other personal details) via the fake form.
