I just came back this morning from Singapore. I've managed to meet up with a few friends who are working there now. In between appointments (all busy working people now) I'd do a bit of shopping, not that I bought much. Just a pair of pants and a Logitech Cordless MX Duo keyboard and mouse set.One of the unusual things that's happened to me this trip was that I've been asked a few times where I'm from, and people would be surprised to hear I'm Malaysian. The girl at Starbucks even said I looked like an ABC -- American-born Chinese. I don't know if that was a compliment or an insult, but it doesn't bother me. Perhaps I looked just a bit too tourist-y with my colourful Crumpler bag. Other than that, Singapore was all hustle and bustle with their school holidays on, as well as an IT conference going on during the week. The annual Great Singapore Sale runs until end of July. Trains were packed no matter what time it was.
